Finished the week with a splendid find at my favourite oppy. I have been wanting a footstool for a while and had even been scouring ebay. Rectangular would have been fine but a round one is just perfect for my plans to either crochet or sew a cover- changing my mind daily on that one but the harlequin vinyl is not exactly my cup of tea.
And the same oppy unearthed a gorgeous lamp. The shade had seen better days but the base was gorgeous.
I'm planning to repaint the base and cover a shade and then send this one into Liongirl's room. But for the time being it has a new thrifted shade and a home on our silky oak sideboard.
Linking in with Sophie today to share the second hand joy around.
ahahah that naughty baby- drinking my beer! We just got some ducks... it would appear i forgot to put the pic of them in (they are ugly, oh well)!
ReplyDeleteNice looking ottoman- crochet would look AWESOME!!

i love a good foot stool. looking forward to seeing what you do with it. go us and our brissie weekend finds. i get my creme brulee from T2 in the city, the tea centre also has a lovely caramel tea that is to die for. perfect with soy milk and plenty of honey. i'm making the whoopie pies as they're just cupcakes minus the cupcake pans...same mixture, just assembled differently. i have a great macaron recipe book that i swear by...they take a long time to prep but they're worth it. will explain all soon. have a great week! xx
ReplyDeleteI love your pouffe/ footstool... and the lamp is lovely too
ReplyDeleteGreat finds. Don't whack me but I really like the foot stool as it is (I am sure you will do something fantastic with it) I just love the retro green and white. Also think the new Lego title is gorgeous! Sherry

Such a cute footstool. I saw a blue/white rectangular one recently that is similar but decided against it.

A lot of comments scolded me for not buying it!
I do love the stool as it is, but it will also look great with a crocheted cover. That way you can have many different looks.
ReplyDeleteI like the lamp also and look forward to seeing it transformed in the future. The shade could look really good recovered.

ReplyDeleteLove your finds,I'm with Hello Vintage in loving your stool as is. But that's just sentimental because my Nanna had a 3 piece lounge + pouffe in the exact colouring, which I remember was pretty uncomfortable to sleep on.Looking forward to seeing the new improved finds when you get around to them.
