I seem to stumble across finds in certain colours at certain times. Seems to be a very red phase at the moment. The red cats remind me of my Gram who had similar ones in orange. I already had 3 of these apple glasses so imagine the joy of finding another three plus the carafe for only $3. Bring on summer and some home made lemonade I say.
And every now and again a certain oppie pulls out the vintage kids goodies. While we are still on red.......
And check out the back. The vintage label - Maude Wilson style. Go Maude.
I am sure no bribery will be required to get her into this gorgeous old handmade tutu. Although white is concerning as she is constantly eating and is not at all tidy about it.
And this is one of my faves. It will probably be too small by next summer, I am hoping to copy the design and make her some more.
She loved this one too, I think those oversized pockets were the best bit. Shame she is so hard to photograph though.
These are the best I could do.
She's still sick poor thing, we think she might have the flu. The real flu. We are spending lots of time snuggling in the sunshine on our lounge, watching Angelina Ballerina and sometimes scrolling back through the blog to relive her birthday party. Seems to help, all that pink.
Linking in with Sophie and all those other lovers of vintage goodies.
Aww, I've found pink to have medicinal qualities for the right sort of person. I could imagine Liongirl pepping-up with a dose of pink.
ReplyDeleteI sent the Husband to the GP with Martha the other day with written instructions that any anti-biotic prescribed had to be 'pink'. It's the only way we can get it 'down the hatch'. Kisses to them both.xo
I think I need that dress with the oversized pockets too in my size.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds.
x
V cute indeed. Pink, pleats and plaits - ain't gonna happen in my house of 5 boys ( btw that includes hubby.) xx
ReplyDeleteYes, that dress is so cute, my fav out of your finds too. DH just got over the real flu (confirmed) so no 'man flu' this time. He even had a flu shot as usual this year.
ReplyDeleteOh, hope she gets better soon. Love those apple glasses. I'm coming over to yours in summer!
ReplyDeleteFabulous finds! The first thing I thought of when I saw the blue dress was Dorothy! Best wishes to Liongirl for a speedy recovery. Poor little love. x
ReplyDeleteYour goodies were sweet and then I saw all those adorable dresses.....your little ones are precious!
ReplyDeleteGood on ya, Mel, for getting Liongirl used to op shop frocks at a young age! Heaps more interesting that what you'd buy at the local shopping centre. BUT it makes me wonder... what will Miss L be into when she hits her difficult teens? How will she rebel against conformity like we did back in the day - by going wild at the op shop??? Hmmm??? My wildest find - that paisley tapestry jacket with the flared sleeves and golden fringing - would be "ho, hum" for her by that stage...
ReplyDeletethose clothes are amazing. Especially love the tutu and the sailor outfit xxx
ReplyDeleteLoving Maudes style dots and sailor collars...too cute x
ReplyDeleteHope your girl is better soon xxxxxxx
Oww that tutu is beautiful xx
ReplyDeleteWoohoo on all those sweet finds! Well done! Hope your little munchkin is one the mend soon.
ReplyDeleteI love all your red. Happy 4th.
ReplyDeleteOhmygod!!!! I would wear that tutu everyday if it came in my size. I think it is just about the most perfect thrifty find I have ever seen.
