a portrait of my children, once a week, every week in 2013 via Che and Fidel
He : has been really testing the love this week. Despite looking like butter won't melt in his mouth, I have been fantasising about boarding school. Hoping it is just term four-itis and he comes good soon.
She : was an absolute delight to take along to her first show, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. We have been reading the story for months and she was beside herself with excitement and singing along with gusto.
I don't think Term 4 is ever pleasant. Tired and cranky kids......roll on the school holidays xo
ReplyDeleteThey're all tired at the end of the year - add to it all the end of year stuff (concerts/ plays etc) and it's a bit of overload I think. We're having some bad behaviour too at our place.... you're not alone Mel!
ReplyDeleteWe loved Chitty Chitty Bang Bang too. My 3 year old is still talking about it 6 months later xx
He, as have you all, had quite a topsy turvy year. He needs a break from school and all the time limitations. Hope you all have a nice break from routines.
ReplyDeleteYou know I've always thought my third child will murder us all in our sleep ... one day at a time, sweet lady.
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous is your daughter. Can't wait till my girls are old enough to take to shows!
ReplyDeleteYes, boarding school is a real temptation.... once a day at least. It is a trying time of year indeed. Just keep smiling :)
ReplyDeleteBoarding school or prison....I'm not fussy most days!!........I hope you were singing along too Mel. X
ReplyDeletehi, all of mine are so tired and so sick of the house being a state, it does get to them although you have had other stuff too, it is tough. The holidays are coming, maybe that's not what you need to hear! Boarding school is another option!!!!! it has been mentioned several times here, funny, the kids are not so keen! Keep smiling, everything will be alright as it says on the Gallery of Modern Art here in Edinburgh, how often I see that and smile thinking, "really?". Oh no, I'm waffling, byeeeee, katie xx
ReplyDeleteOh Mel, I'm hearing you about boarding school! The chaos over here has been at an all-time EXTREME level - in fact I've just arrived home from Noosa having a mental health break all.by.myself. I don't exactly know what to blame it on, but this year the ASD has been very difficult to manage and so, so DRAINING.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the show! xx
Very pleased you were able to get away on your own to reclaim your sanity, I have had utmost admiration for you getting through the reno with your four boys. I don't know what has triggered this recent spate of VERY difficult behaviour but I am exhausted and frustrated and just want to lie down and scream and cry myself. Last week I actually tried to walk down the street and leave my two at home, they of course followed me all the way as I had a good cry. It is the never being able to escape everyone else's bad moods and behaviour that is so wearing. Lets just hope that the end of school heralds return to sanity for us both. mel x
